Program Coordinator, Residential & Academic Engagement
Job Summary: The Program Coordinators for Residential & Academic Engagement (RAE) provide essential support in the day-to-day management of the residential areas and collaborate across the Office of Residential Experience in the implementation and development of the Residential Experience. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Residential & Academic Engagement, the Coordinators work with two of the four residential areas to help manage day-to-day operations, marketing, communications, programmatic efforts, and advise the local student leadership organizations.

Program Coordinator, Residential & Academic Engagement (multiple positions)
Job Summary: The Program Coordinators for Residential & Academic Engagement (RAE) provide essential support in the day-to-day functioning of the residential college program and special interest community at Northwestern. Reporting to the Assistant Director, each Program Coordinator serves as the primary advisor for 3-4 residential college or special interest executive boards and serves as a key collaborator with the Faculty Chairs of each college or staff leader the special interest community. In addition to advising, the Program Coordinators support academic initiatives within the RAE portfolio, specifically working with strategic Initiatives including the Litowitz Center for Enlightened Disagreement (LCED), the PATH program, and the Institute for Adolescent Health & Well-Being.
Pay Range: The pay range for the Program Coordinator is $58,000 - 60,000 depending on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Northwestern University is seeking a temporary full-time Desk Clerk for the Evanston campus.
Temporary Job Description: Serves as a primary desk contact for residents in graduate housing for general administrative needs including distribution of keys and packages during move-in. This position is to provide prompt, courteous, and timely customer service to our residents and off-campus contacts. This includes answering the telephone, greeting residents who come to the desk, answering questions and identifying and analyzing the residents' housing-related problems and directing them appropriately. Must be detail-oriented, possess customer service skills, have basic technology and software (Microsoft Office, Pitney-Bowes, Mercury) knowledge. They will work primarily from the desk (shared work space) during our peak move-in period in graduate housing. Must be able to lift packages up to 50 lbs. Available Schedule (subject to change based on other staffing changes): Engelhart: Wednesday-Friday 4pm-8pm & Sat-Sun 8am-12pm McManus: Wednesday-Sunday 2pm-8pm
In addition to salary, this temporary position is eligible for paid time off and paid sick time in accordance with Northwestern University policies. This position is not eligible for other benefits offered to regular staff positions.
Desk Clerk
Job Summary: A Desk Clerk performs clerical duties and is responsible for building security, access control, and equipment management. The role serves as a primary area desk contact for residents in the residential area, for administrative needs specific to managing sleeping room access, building access, and the temp card inventory to support lock-outs.
A Desk Clerk must be able to handle high and low levels of activity while providing excellent customer service to our internal and external partners. This includes answering the telephone on the HOME Phone Line, greeting residents who come into the building, answering questions, identifying and analyzing the residents’ housing-related problems, and directing them appropriately. This position requires excellent organization and communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within the team.
Desk Clerks work primarily from the area desk (shared workspace); with alternative workspace assignments based on seasonal departmental needs. Desk Clerks conduct rounds of buildings and repair and replace electronic locks.
Pay: The pay range for this Desk Clerk position is $21.00 to $22.18 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Custodian/Matintenance Technician, 1st Shift (Multiple Positions)
Job Summary:
1st Shift Custodian/Maintenance Technician schedules:
- Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
- Tuesday-Saturday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
Pay: The pay rate for this position is $17.25-17.50 per hour.
Specific Responsibilities:
Maintenance/Custodial Services:
- Uses machines or other tools as needed to clean, renovate, and renew floor surface finishes; to sweep, dry mop, wet mop or machine scrub and wax floor; to sweep and shovel snow or remove debris from steps and walks; to vacuum rugs and carpets; to move furniture, office equipment, supplies, etc.
- Provides light maintenance services such as replacing light bulbs and lubricating locks etc.
- Collects and places in containers for removal by truck, debris removed from offices, lounges, hallways, lavatories, walks, steps and other rooms in buildings or houses.
- Cleans, dusts, washes and polishes furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, doors, interior/exterior, glass, partitions, framed pictures, office equipment, trim and related furnishings.
- Cleans and services lavatories, toilet rooms, rest rooms, smoking urns, trays, and keeps units supplied with necessary items such as soap and towels.
- Reports any repair problems or negative conditions to supervisor.
- Responds to calls for emergency custodial service such as cleaning up spills, body fluids, broken glass, floods; responds to resident requests for linen, storage of items and/or luggage, etc.

Custodial/Maintenance Supervisor, 2nd Shift
Job Summary: Northwestern University is looking for a 2nd Shift Custodial/Maintenance Supervisor. The schedule for the position is Monday-Friday, 3:30PM to 12:00AM.
The Custodial/Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for high-quality general maintenance operations of Northwestern University’s student residence halls located on the Evanston campus.
