RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

For a quarterly fee underground parking is available to Engelhart & McManus residents. To request an underground space at Engelhart or McManus, please visit our Graduate Parking Space Request page.  

Surface lot parking is available at Engelhart & Garrett Place apartments (a Northwestern parking permit is required). Please visit the Evanston campus parking website for information about Northwestern parking permits. 

Packages

Packages for residents at Engelhart and McManus are logged at the front desks and students receive a notification once their packages are ready for pick up. Please note that during opening there is a 2-hour delay on the notification emails. Make sure you wait until you receive an email from "Pitney-Bowes" before stopping by the front desk for a package. Proper identification must be provided to pick up a package.

Packages for Garrett Place residents are received and processed at the Mail & Package Center at Foster-Walker.

Mail

Each apartment is provided with a mailbox in the lobby of their assigned building. Apartment keys will open the mailbox. Mail is processed and sorted into mailboxes Monday-Friday at Engelhart and McManus. Garrett Place mail is delivered directly to mailboxes by the US Postal Service (USPS).

When you move out of the building, please update your address in CAESAR in order to assure that your first-class mail gets to you in a timely manner. USPS also provides a forwarding service when you file for a change of address on the USPS website.

Laundry machines are available free of charge to residents. Machines are located on the basement level at Engelhart and Garrett Place, and on the first floor of McManus (both North and South ends).

In the event of an emergency during business hours, please stop by the front desk or call Residential Services (847) 491-5101. 

In the event of an emergency after 8pm, please contact the Graduate Resident Assistant on duty: Engelhart & Garrett Place (847) 815-2441 and McManus (847) 815-2484. 

McManus and Engelhart Halls have a service desk located in the lobby of the 1st floor. Services include package pick-up, check-in/out of apartments, lock-out assistance, and general customer service. More information can be found at our Front Desks page.
