Northwestern’s Center for Student Advocacy and Support (CSAW) is now presenting “Wildcats in Recovery” - a Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) that aims to support students in Recovery. This group is hoping to support students who are in recovery from substance use disorders, process addictions, and eating disorders. We aim to bring students together and provide them with the necessary resources to excel at Northwestern in their academics and in their recovery. If you are interested in being a part of Wildcats in Recovery, please fill out our interest form and we will add you to our communications list!
For the fall quarter, Wildcats Recovery will be on Thursday evenings from 6-7:30pm in Allison Hall!

mindfulNU is a six-week program created by Northwestern students, for Northwestern students, to help you build a mindfulness practice in a supportive cohort. Looking for a way to cultivate your relationship with the natural world and build connections with those who are seeking to do the same? Join us as we grow a new community focused on sit spots, a practice of committing to sitting in a specific outdoor location over the course of the upcoming year in order to build a meaningful relationship with nature and with ourselves. All are welcome to a kickoff event where we’ll reflect on our experiences with nature as a spiritual path, share resources to support our sit spot journeys, and develop ways to hold each other accountable to the practice.

The annual Kairos retreat is student-led and a great opportunity to meet new friends, to spend time in conversation and prayer, and to give yourself the space to breathe and refresh the heart and mind at the beautiful La Salle Manor in Plano, IL. Have you ever had to help a drunk friend but weren’t sure exactly what you were doing? This training will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to identify, prevent and intervene effectively in an alcohol-related medical emergency. You’ll also learn about how alcohol affects our physiology and behavior, signs and symptoms of alcohol poisoning and the truth behind common alcohol-related myths.

This one-hour training is for students who are interested in being trained to administer Narcan (naloxone). Attendees will learn how to recognize signs of an opioid overdose, identify when it is appropriate to use Narcan, learn how to administer Narcan to an individual they believe is experiencing an overdose, and identify additional emergency steps to take. All attendees will receive a two-pack of Narcan upon completion of the training.
Trainings will be offered at least two times a quarter. More trainings may be scheduled if there is increased demand. Register NOW!

Northwestern Career Advancement is hosting an Investment Banking Career Trek to New York City on Monday, December 15, Tuesday, December 16th, and Wednesday, December 17th. This Trek is for students who identify as sophomores planning to actively apply to investment banking internships for their summer 2027 experience as early as winter break 2025/winter quarter 2026.
NCA wants to ensure that cost is never prohibitive to a student’s career planning. Students with demonstrated financial need may be offered support for travel and lodging.
