Joseph earned his Bachelor's in Psychology and Criminology, Law & Justice at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and a Master's in Higher Education & Student Affairs at New York University (NYU). Prior to arriving to Northwestern, Joseph worked in Residence Life and Student Conduct at NYU in a variety of positions focusing on community development, facilities, operations, and community standards. Joseph has also served as an Admissions Counselor & Recruiter at UIC recruiting high school and transfer students from the western suburbs of Chicago and within the New York and New Jersey metro area. Joseph's student affairs experiences have also included two positions held at Baruch College and the University of Oregon.

Outside of his professional experiences, Joseph enjoys spending his time trying new cooking/baking recipes in the kitchen, seeing-listening-singing musicals, and sharing in the broader appreciation of the arts. Joseph is also the proud plant parent to over 50 plants and will never pass up a chance to exchange tips and tricks.
