Jamel (He/Him/His) joined Northwestern in June 2023 as one of the Program Coordinators for Residential & Academic Engagement. Jamel will be advising the North and Northeast Area councils while managing marketing, communications, and programmatic efforts.
Jamel graduated from Western Illinois University receiving his Bachelor's in Organizational Communication with a minor in Events Planning & Management. Following that he spent time working as an Associate Manager/Resource Development with the Boys and Girls Club of Lake County and then as a Graduate Assistant working the Office of Service-Learning at the University of Georgia where he recently received his M.Ed. in College Student Affairs Administration in May 2023.
Outside of work, Jamel enjoys spending his time working out, leading a healthy lifestyle, going to the beach, exploring the city, going to concerts/festivals, exploring new hobbies and spending time with family and friends.
