GLObal Gateway

• GLO launched a new application system, called GLObal Gateway, in November 2020. GLObal Gateway is a central portal for all study abroad application and preparation steps.
  • Academic advisers who must sign off on student applications can access resources and training materials to ease the transition.
  • Learn more about how students will use GLObal Gateway.
• As part of the transition to this new application system, the Weinberg Study Abroad Departmental Approval form will no longer be required of students with majors or minors in Weinberg College. Instead, students must follow an updated academic advising guide, which directs them to new School and Major Advising Resources.

University Study Abroad Committee (USAC)

The University Study Abroad Committee (USAC) is a faculty committee that reviews, approves, and evaluates all undergraduate study abroad programs to ensure that they are consistent with Northwestern's educational goals, values, and academic standards. GLObal Guides

Northwestern faculty and staff have extensive international experience and offer invaluable insights to students considering or preparing for a study abroad experience. The GLObal Guides program recognizes faculty and staff as advocates for study abroad and highlights them as resources to prospective study abroad students.
