Billing & Payments

When you study abroad, you will pay your program's costs, not Northwestern tuition. You will receive an invoice from Northwestern each quarter you are abroad, and your program sponsor or host university may bill you directly for other charges. Visit your program page for specific billing arrangements and details.

Your Northwestern invoice will be issued on the regular quarterly schedule and is subject to the same University due dates:

Payment Methods

You may pay your invoice through the regular CAESAR ePay service, or via check or money order.

The Northwestern 9PAY monthly payment plan can be used for affiliated and Northwestern programs during the regular academic year, but not for any unaffiliated programs or summer programs. If you plan to use 9PAY for your Northwestern-billed study abroad costs, the amount you owe per month will most likely be different based on your study abroad program; request a study abroad 9PAY estimate to have your plan set up appropriately.

Visit the Student Financial Services page for more information on payment methods.

Visit the academic year billing page for more details.
