The Data Management & Analytics (DMA) team is pleased to announce improved license management processes for new Tableau license purchases and renewals. New processes simplify and streamline interactions with Tableau, provide enhanced support and reduce administrative overhead.
Here's what's new:
- Simplified Ordering
- All new Tableau licenses will be requested using an easy five question request form. (LIVE)
- All Tableau license renewals will be requested using a four question request form. (COMING SOON)
- Streamlined Processing
- Licensing requests go directly to Tableau. We will no longer engage third party intermediaries.
- Purchasing directly through Tableau reduces the time required to complete the licensing process.
- Improved support
- A dedicated Tableau sales representative will coordinate efforts and is available for questions on your order.
- All new license periods will now end on October 1. This will simplify renewal communications and reduce overhead.
Here’s what remains the same:
- Northwestern contacts are responsible for managing interactions with their financial administrators to ensure supporting transactions are completed.
- Free Tableau academic licenses will continue to be managed by the individuals using these licenses. Academic licenses are not directly associated with Northwestern.
Improvements for ordering new licenses are in place today. Improvements to license renewal processes will be implemented in the near future.
