When purchasing items that will be shipped internationally, departments and schools must prepare for customs fees. The vendor’s fixed price is $375 and covers Deltamax handling, Customs Broker services, outport fee and USFDA. The fee does not include:
- Actual Import duties if any, depending on the USHS code of the commodity
- Customs Merchandise fee of 0.3465% of commercial invoice value
- Custom Harbor Fee of 0.1250% of commercial invoice value
- $75 per additional Federal agencies such as USDA, TSCA, EPA, BFAR
Please be prepared to pay these fees by contacting Deltamax and issuing a Purchase Order, process a Payment request, or use a Northwestern Corporate Card. Note that POs will likely require a change order based on the final charges.
