Minimum Wage
The City of Chicago enacted an ordinance to increase the minimum wage. To comply with this ordinance, the university has set the following minimum wage rates for the Evanston and Chicago campuses:

Please note the following:
- All employees, including Non-Student and Student Temporary Employees, are subject to the minimum wage.
- For information regarding wages for undergraduate students participating in the Federal Work-Study Program, please contact the Northwestern Work-Study Office.
- Work-study students who continue to work after their work-study has ended or becomes exhausted must also be paid at the Chicago and Cook County minimum wage.
Minimum wage for work locations other than Chicago or Evanston must comply with applicable ordinances or legislation at the local, county, state and/or federal level.
