The Campus Partner Award recognizes a faculty or staff member, alumni, or department—not a part of Student Affairs—who has been an outstanding partner with Student Affairs on a significant initiative to improve the Northwestern experience for students.
The Above & Beyond Award recognizes a significant accomplishment in the Division of Student Affairs. Student Affairs staff members are eligible if they have worked in the division as a regular staff member for at least 2 years as of July 1 of this year and exhibited outstanding achievement in one or more of the following areas in the last 12 months: exceptional effort, high-quality work, soliciting feedback and making continuous improvements, exemplifying divisional values, and exhibiting poise under pressure.
The Collaboration Award recognizes a Student Affairs staff member, department, or group that has embodied the Division’s value of collaboration by partnering successfully with students, faculty, staff (inside or outside Student Affairs), alumni, and community members.
The Outstanding Newcomer Award recognizes a significant accomplishment in the Division of Student Affairs. Student Affairs staff are eligible if they have worked in the division as a regular staff member for less than 2 years as of July 1 this year and have exhibited outstanding achievement in one or more of the following areas: exceptional effort, high-quality work, soliciting feedback and making continuous improvements, exemplifying divisional values, and exhibiting poise under pressure.
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes significant commitment to the Division of Student Affairs. Student Affairs staff members are eligible if they have worked in the Division for at least three years as of July 1 this year and exhibited outstanding achievement in one or more of the following areas: creating lasting improvements; displaying leadership attributes that support our mission; engaging in mentoring activities; and consistently performing at a high level.
Introduced in 2019, the Dr. Patricia Telles-Irvin Contribution to the Profession Award recognizes staff members for high contributions to their greater professional field. Examples of this could include significant leadership in national/international professional organizations; development and research activities; and/or participation in opportunities for lifelong learning.
