Pharmacy Closure
The on-campus pharmacy located at Northwestern Medicine Student Health Service in Evanston will permanently close on December 1512/15. Clinicians will continue prescribing medications to be filled elsewhere. Learn more here.
Residential Services
All residential facilities close for Winter Break at noon on 12/13, aside from students contracted for Continuous Housing. Before departing, all students must complete all closing checklist items and fill out the Self-Check Out Form. All buildings will reopen at 8 a.m. on 1/3/26.
Dining & Retail Locations
Allison and Elder Dining Halls will be closed 12/11 and 12/12. Sargent and Foster Walker will remain open through dinner on 12/12. For complete hours of operation and opening dates in January, please visit Dine On Campus
Additional Building Closures
Norris closes at 6 p.m. on 12/12 and begins Winter Break Hours. SES is closed as of 12/8, and The Black House, Multicultural Center and GSRC will close at 5 p.m. on 12/12. All will reopen on 1/5/26.

Request a NU Bystander Training
NUBI (Northwestern University Bystander Intervention) is an initiative that aims to create a safer, more caring, and supportive community by engaging all students, faculty and staff and asking them to play a role in shifting our campus culture.
Bystander intervention is a 90-minute training that was developed to help people identify and interrupt moments of harm or potential harm. The training is intended to help empower people observing a situation to know how they can take an active role in intervening to stop immediate harm, and ideally future harm, from happening.

Red Watch Band Alcohol Bystander Intervention Trainings
This training will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to identify, prevent, and intervene effectively in an alcohol-related medical emergency. You’ll also learn about how alcohol affects our physiology and behavior, signs and symptoms of alcohol poisoning, and the truth behind common alcohol-related myths. Sign up for a training now!
CSAW's Opioid Overdose Prevention and Naloxone Training
This one-hour training is for students who are interested in being trained to administer Narcan (naloxone). Attendees will learn how to recognize signs of an opioid overdose, identify when it is appropriate to use Narcan, learn how to administer Narcan to an individual they believe is experiencing an overdose, and identify additional emergency steps to take. All attendees will receive a two-pack of Narcan upon completion of the training.
Trainings will be offered at least two times a quarter. More trainings may be scheduled if there is increased demand. Register NOW!
