Faculty Chair's Welcome

As faculty chair and on behalf of the college staff, I’m excited to welcome you to the Public Affairs Residential College (PARC)! PARC is a vibrant community of engaged students, faculty, and staff with shared interests in a broad range of topics related to public affairs. I’m excited to you, learn about your interests and experiences, and work with you to keep building on PARC’s strong foundation.

We offer frequent opportunities for involvement in our community and exploring shared interests while baking treats together in the PARC kitchen, eating lunch in the dining halls, holding “fireside” conversations in the evening with faculty, and periodic special activities and events. Sometimes we’ll host political and policy discussions that engage with the latest news; and sometimes we’ll probably just hang out, get to know each other, and do or talk about other stuff.

You can learn more about our exec board, events, traditions, and history on the PARC web page. We of course also welcome new ideas and suggestions for events that contribute to our sense of community within PARC and more broadly.
