Winter Quarter Move-In for Undergraduate Students

Information for Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate Halls Reopen at 12:00 p.m. on January 1
The undergraduate residence halls, residential colleges, and special interest communities open at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 1, 2024. All residents returning from Winter Break and new residents may move in beginning at this time.
Watch your email the morning of January 1 with a link to complete the self-check in form. This will activate your building access. When you arrive at your room (and after you complete the self-check in form), tap your Wildcard on the electronic lock on your door, wait 45 seconds, then tap again for entry.
Unloading and Parking
If you are unloading or moving in on January 1st or 2nd, 2024, a parking permit is not required when actively unloading items from your vehicle. If you are unloading from a fire lane, a driver must remain with the vehicle at all times, or a parking ticket may be issued. We ask that you move your vehicle away from your building once you have finished unloading. Additionally, please avoid parking in a spot that is designated as "Reserved-24hr enforcement". These signs are purple and are posted in the front of the parking stall. If you are moving in after January 1st or 2nd, permits are required in all lots Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. Visitor permits may be purchased in-person at the Parking Office located at 1841 Sheridan Rd.
Additional Information for New Students
If this is your first time living on campus, you can follow the same procedures as above to check in using the self-check in form.
- If you do not have a Wildcard, visit your Area Desk to get a temporary access card. Tap this card on the electronic lock on your door, wait 45 seconds, then tap again for entry.
- Move-in carts are available at the Area Desk. Please note that not all buildings have ramps or elevators.
