Current Employment Opportunities:

Resident Director

The RD is a full-time, 12-month, live-in professional staff member. The RD reports to an Assistant Director and is responsible for the administration of a housing area with approximately 400-1200 residents, the direct or indirect supervision of up to 21 Resident Assistants and the possibility of a graduate level Assistant Residence Director. RDs partner closely with Residential College Faculty Chairs and co-lead Residential Communities where Faculty-In-Residence are present. This position is also responsible for programming, student advising and serving as a conduct hearing officer for Residential Services.

 Assistant Resident Director

The ARD position is a 10-month, live-in, 20 hours-a-week, master’s-seeking student who collaborates with the Resident Director to provide overall management of a residential area. The ARD reports to a Resident Director and indirectly to an Assistant Director in Residential Services.

Graduate Assistant for Assessment & Community Development

The GAA is a 10 month, live-in, 20 hours-a-week, master’s-seeking student who works with Assistant and Associate Directors in the office to develop and administer evaluation and assessment processes for the department, as well as interpret data and assist in the preparation of action plans. The GAA collects data related to community development activities, including evaluation of current efforts and preparing training related to the processes. The GAA also works with planning and implementation of student and professional staff training and selection processes. The GAA reports to an Assistant Director.

Graduate Assessment for Leadership Development

The GA is a 10 month, live-in, 20 hours-a-week, master’s-seeking student who works with an Assistant Director to design and execute leadership development programs with Residential Life. The GA will assist in planning the annual Leadership Summit and monthly development opportunities for student leaders, and they will coordinate student leadership elections. The GA will also assist with planning and implementing student and professional staff training and selection processes.
