Helmet Usage

Helmet use while operating a bicycle is a key behavior to reducing the likelihood of suffering a head injury or serious Traumatic Brain Injury. However, helmet usage should not be limited to only when operating a bicycle. Helmets use should be adopted when skateboarding, rollerblading, skiing/snowboarding, playing sports (baseball, football, hockey, lacrosse, etc.), operating a scooter (motorized or manual), and motorcycles.

For information about the benefits of properly wearing a helmet for various activities, visit the CDC's Helmet Safety website.
