Visitor Parking
Visitors and guests need a permit to park in a surface lot on campus Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitor and guests can also choose to park in the North and South garages and pay the daily rate at the pay stations.
Eligibility
Visitors and guests need a permit if they plan to park in a surface lot on campus Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Visitor permits are non-refundable.
- Use of visitor permits is prohibited by faculty, staff and students.
- Non-affiliated visitors with handicapped license plates or placards from a government agency may park in designated handicapped spaces or at parking meters at no charge. University parking permits are required in non-handicapped spaces.
Department Permits and Garage Validations
Departments cannot distribute garage validation to students, faculty or staff. This is a policy violation eligible for corrective action.

Daily visitor parking permit: $9.00
How to Obtain
- Individuals: Purchase visitor permits at the Evanston Parking Office in order to park in one of several surface lots across campus, or pay the daily rate at pay stations located in the North and South Parking Garages.
- University Departments: Departments are limited to 30 permits per quarter or a quantity determined by Transportation & Parking by available space. Departments anticipating 30 or more visitors for a special event, conference or meeting should review the Policy for Event Hosts.
