Department Requests for Garage Validations
Garage validations are available to University departments for distribution to their special event guests, visitors, research subjects and volunteers for use in the Erie/Ontario Garage or Huron/Superior Garage.
University students, faculty and staff are not eligible to use garage validations. Use of garage validations by students, faculty or staff is a policy violation and eligible for corrective action.
Non-University affiliates who are renting space from the University for an event are not eligible.
Restrictions
- The garage validations do not guarantee a garage space. Parking is on a first come, first served basis.
- Only University departments using a valid NU Financials chart string are eligible to purchase garage validations.
- Garage validations are issued for the department's use and cannot be resold by departments.
- Stacking/combining of any garage validations (attempting to use two at a time) is not allowed if the maximum validation time has elapsed.
- Departments cannot distribute parking coupons to students, faculty or staff. This is a policy violation eligible for corrective action.
- There is a limit on the number of garage validations that a specific department can use on a given day. Contact the Chicago Parking Office to discuss availability when planning a large event.
Validation Rates for Erie Ontario Garage or Huron Superior Garage

Additional Guidelines
Order only what you need for a reasonable amount of time based on your event or research needs. Garage validations expire two years from the date of the request, and expired validations are not exchanged or refunded. It is your department's responsibility to be mindful of the amount of garage validations that you order and expect to use.
