Parking Privileges
Chicago Campus
- Your parking privileges include access 24/7 to the assigned garage in Chicago, but please note that vehicle storage for more than 24 hours is not allowed.
- Only one vehicle per parking permit.
- Annual parking is valid October 1 to September 30 the following year.
Evanston Campus
- This permit is also valid in all Faculty/Staff lots as well as the North and South parking garages on the Evanston campus. The permit must be displayed when parking in any Evanston campus surface lot.
- This is the only permit valid on both campuses.
- Evanston campus permits are not valid on the Chicago campus.
- Chicago campus weekend, and evening/weekend permits, are not valid on the Evanston campus.
2025-26 Annual Parking Permit Fees
- Faculty and staff annual parking fees for Chicago are tiered based on salary.
- Payroll deductions for parking are made pre-tax.
- Faculty and staff can renew annual parking through the Chicago Parking Office. Departmental approval will be verified confirming that all eligibility criteria are met.
- The Parking Office will assign garage access based on current availability.
Note About the Huron/Superior Garage
The fair market value for a Chicago parking permit in the Huron/Superior garage exceeds the monthly $325 federally allowable pre-tax qualified parking benefit. Any amount paid per month above $325 will be reflected as additional earned income on your paychecks.
