Chicago campus faculty and staff may purchase an Evanston campus permit with a letter of authorization from their department verifying official extended business on the Evanston campus.
Faculty and staff retirees may purchase an Evanston campus permit at the current part-time rate.
Emeritus faculty may obtain a no-charge permit. Please the Emeriti Permit page for details.

Faculty and Staff Permit Types
Available to all eligible faculty/staff members.
Available to all eligible faculty/staff members with two vehicles or in a rideshare group.
A maximum of two vehicles may be registered with a two-vehicle permit, and only one may park on campus at a time.
The two-vehicle hangtag must be displayed in the vehicle that is parking on campus.
Available to all eligible Facilities Management trades staff (includes FM two-vehicle). See permit rate information for Faculty/Staff below.
Available to all eligible faculty/staff members for reduced rate parking at Ryan Field.
Available to all eligible faculty and staff with a registered motorcycle, scooter or moped on the Evanston campus. See Motorcycle/Scooter/Moped Permit for more information.
Permit Rates
Daily permits cost $9.00 for visitors, faculty, staff and students and are non-refundable.
One-, two- and three-month permits are also available.
Daily, monthly and Ryan Field permits may be paid via cash, check or credit card (Visa/MasterCard/American Express/Google and Apple Pay) and are not eligible for payroll deduction.
Annual permits start October 1 and expire September 30 of the following year.
Faculty and staff full time: $648.00 annual rate
The rate decreases by $54.00 each month after October.
Paid via pre-tax payroll deduction.
Faculty and staff part-time (as determined by Human Resources): $408.00 annual rate
The rate decreases by $34.00 each month after October.
Payment

Annual faculty and staff parking permits, not including Ryan Field permits, are paid via payroll deduction.
New faculty and staff on the Evanston campus can send an email to HRTA@northwestern.edu to request a temporary parking permit for their first week of employment.
Transportation & Parking reserves the right to request additional documentation to verify address, affiliation and vehicle registration. All information is subject to verification. The University Parking Committee and Transportation & Parking have the authority to deny or revoke parking privileges.
