Mid-Career Faculty
Northwestern offers programs specifically designed to support the growth and success of tenured associate professors.
Mid-Career Programs
Mid-Career Conversations
Join colleagues for conversations about mid-career development, leadership opportunities, and promotion, held over lunch. Join former ALP Faculty Fellows for a conversation about mentoring, service, and promotion in the fall, and attend a panel on academic leadership in the spring. Tenured associate professors will receive an invitation and more information via email.
The Mid-Career Faculty Institute is a yearlong program that begins with a one-day career reflection and planning event, followed by a series of cohort lunches to continue discussion and learning with peers.
NCFDD Programming for Mid-Career Faculty
Utilize your Northwestern institutional membership in the NCFDD (formerly the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity) for free access to sessions on promotion to full and academic leadership.
