Anahit Gomtsian supports the Associate Vice President for Information and Analytics by leading efforts to advance University-wide faculty nominations for prestigious national honors and awards.

Her work on urbanization and tourism is published in the edited volume Cities, Sagebrush, and Solitude: Urbanization and Cultural Conflict in the Great Basin (University of Nevada Press, 2015), and her work on refugee policy in Europe is published in the Journal of Military and Political Sociology (2018). 

She is a PhD Candidate in political science at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she also received her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science. She is a lecturer at Lake Forest College, teaching courses in comparative politics and international relations.
