As the Executive Director & Director of Operations and Services, Carlos M. Gonzalez oversees the Residential Services areas of undergraduate and graduate assignments, administration, operations (including mail and desk operations, and marketing), conferences, and facilities and construction for the department. Each day his team works to create structure and processes that are transparent, benefit students, staff, and families, and continue to make Residential Services a great place for Northwestern students to call home. Carlos came to Northwestern with extensive experience in housing, dining, administration, conference services, strategic planning, and budgeting.
Carlos most recently served Cornell University as the Executive Director of Administration for the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and also served Cornell as the Director of Housing, Dining Contracts, and Conference Services, in which he lead the department’s business practice development and management, assignments process, overall policy and process development, conference programs, and various special projects. Carlos completed his undergraduate studies in applied economics at Texas A&M University, and went on to complete his graduate studies in business at New York University.
