Fall Welcome From the Faculty Wellness Program
Dear faculty colleagues,
Faculty members at every stage of their career face daily demands that are unique to working in academia. As you balance these challenges with those you face in your personal life, please feel free to turn to us as your navigators.
The following are some reminders and updates about the resources that Northwestern offers faculty to support their personal well-being. Please contact us if you are ever in need or have suggestions for enhancing our resources and programming.
Faculty Wellness Program
The Faculty Wellness Program (FWP) is a valuable resource for faculty navigating personal and professional issues. The FWP’s primary function is to assist full-time (benefits-eligible) faculty members in understanding how best to connect with resources to address difficulties stemming from stress, depression, anxiety, family strains, workplace relationship problems, burnout, alcohol or substance abuse, or other issues.
Employee Assistance Program
SupportLinc is Northwestern's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider. The EAP is available to faculty, staff and household members and provides 24/7/365 free and confidential access to a variety of mental health and well-being services and resources, including short-term counseling, to help address everyday life challenges in a confidential, professional and supportive manner.
