Lauren Bauschard
Director for Strategic Initiatives
Lauren Bauschard joined the Office of the Provost in January 2026. As Director for Strategic Initiatives on the Strategy and Policy team, Lauren provides strategic support for key initiatives and projects for the Office of the Provost and the University more broadly. She facilitates assessment of opportunities for institutional strategy, designs solutions to organizational challenges and partners across functions to support implementation.
Prior to joining Northwestern, Lauren served as the Director of Faculty Affairs in the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, where she directed faculty operations and led strategic initiatives. She also served as Assistant Registrar for Academic Scheduling at Georgetown and held roles in the Department of English at Harvard University in academic operations.
Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master’s in Higher Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
