Take-Home Kits and DIY Activities
Visit Artica Studios during our open hours, Monday through Friday from 10:30am to 5:00pm, to pick up DIY kits and equipment rentals—payable in-studio via credit card, debit card, or Northwestern chartstring.
The Rock Painting Kit
The Rock Painting Kit reservation through Artica is for materials only, not a reservation for your group to paint the Rock. The Rock Plaza, the area around The Rock, is also reservable as an Outdoor Event Space.

$99/kit (1 base color + up to 3 additional colors; extra colors $12 each, limit 2).
Reservation Requirements

All materials provided must come back clean and, in the caddy provided. Groups are subject to a $25 cleaning fee if this is complete upon drop-off. Please be courteous and clean your supplies.

The Rock Kit rental period is 24 hours only

DIY To-Go Kits
Kit Includes
- Choice of bisque piece
- Pencil
- (3) bisque brushes
- (5) glaze colors of your choice – selection by number in-studio
- Project/glazing instruction sheet
Requirements

You must return the brushes clean and any unused glazes. Once your bisque piece is fired you are ready to take it home and enjoy your new piece!

Make sure to follow the instructions provided for the best results.

Include your glaze selections in the Special Instructions section on the online form and/or email them to articastudios@u.northwestern.edu

Glaze your piece at home and then drop it off at Artica for firing. Final fired piece will be ready 2-3 weeks after drop-off. You may email us to inquire on its status as needed.

You may pick up/drop off anytime during normal operating hours.
