Facilities Connect
The Northwestern University Facilities team is evolving to keep pace with the growing, changing and innovative University community. Our mission is to deliver effective and reliable services as a collaborative and valued partner for the University.
Facilities Connect is a web-based platform that simplifies and streamlines access to Facilities information and services. The three main areas of focus include:
- Space: contains all the information about space and how its used. Includes campus maps, floor plans, and supports the annual space validation process.
- Project Management: supports our day to day managment of design and construction projects. Includes project tracking, financial data, and schedule management.
- Operations & Maintenance: service request management system and manages all the corrective and preventive maintenance for the university.
Getting Started
All university employees have General Requestor access, use the Login page to make a Service Request. If you are unsure about the access that you need, consult the Customer Role Matrix to review the different levels of functionality.

Updates
- Service Request Process Simplification: As of 11/15/2022, the system based approval process for department/ unit charged corrective service requests (Billing type of Non Building) has been eliminated. Going forward, service requests must be internally reviewed within their department prior to being submitted to Facilities Connect. Service request submitters must certify that they have authority to use chart strings provided on the service request.
- FC Upgrade 2023 was completed on Monday, March 20, 2023: Review the FC Upgrade 2023 page for more information.
- Space Reporting Update: The FC Reporting tool now includes data around Space Planning including assignee data, building gross area and Space Validation. Please note this information is only available to Data Administrators and Data Stewards. Visit the Reporting page to learn more. Please reach out to facilities.connect@northwestern.edu with any questions.
