Compass is a year-long cohort-based, mentorship program that connects first-year students with upper-class mentors. Through one-on-one meetings, social events, and workshops, students learn how to successfully navigate the Northwestern experience while developing strong relationships that will continue throughout their four years and beyond. Peer Mentors are matched with three to four first-year mentees.

Compass meets weekly as a large group cohort, and mentors and mentees meet individually every other week. All incoming students who identify as first-generation and/or lower-income are invited to apply.
