Laptops

University Library Loaner Program

Students are able to check-out laptops from the University Library.  Laptops are available for both short-term and long-term loans. There are a limited number available, and they are loaned on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn more at the University Library Equipment page.

Computer Labs

Computers are located throughout the University Library and other library locations. Check out this link to learn more. In addition, both the Black House and Multicultural Center have computer labs, a copy machine, and fax machine for student use. The facilities are wireless and students have free printing privileges with a limit of 500 pages per student per quarter. Software

There are many software titles offered for academic and/or personal use to the Northwestern community at no cost. To explore what software titles are available, check this link. Additionally, the Northwestern software download portal helps students, faculty, and staff identify the ways in which they can purchase or download Northwestern-recommended software titles. 

Warranty Information (4-Year Loaner Laptop Program)

The 4-year loaner Dell laptops comes with a 4-year warranty. If you've already taken your laptop to NUIT and they can't help, you should click on the link below to submit your help-desk ticket. You'll need to enter your serial number and then you will get a list of ways to contact Dell. You will likely also get access to Dell Tech Direct which means (if necessary) Dell will dispatch a technician.
