Food Accessibility

Individuals experiencing difficulty accessing food should immediately contact the SES Office. There are robust support systems in place to ensure that all students have access to nutritious food and groceries. 

Purple Pantry (PP) Access 

Purple Pantry is open weekly on Thursdays from 11am-2pm and by individual appointment. It is now located in Hinman Hall (1835 Hinman Ave Evanston, IL 60208).  For individual appointments, please click this link: http://bit.ly/PurplePantryApp.

Students having trouble accessing food can drop by the Purple Pantry to grab free snacks and groceries. The Purple Pantry is intended to be as barrier-free as possible, so it accommodates individuals with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, and halal dietary needs.

About the Purple Pantry 

In partnership with Student Enrichment Services, the Purple Pantry is coordinated by Mary Deeley, Pastoral Associate with the Sheil Catholic Center (2110 Sheridan Road).  Students experiencing difficulty accessing food can drop by the Purple Pantry to receive free snacks and groceries. The Purple Pantry is intended to be as barrier-free as possible, so it accommodates individuals with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, and halal dietary needs.
