CARE staff are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm by appointment. If you need immediate assistance outside of these hours, please contact the following 24-hour services.

Physical or Medical Crisis
If you are injured or in need of medical attention go to the nearest Emergency Room or call 911. Evanston Hospital is the closest ER to the Evanston Campus, Northwestern Memorial Hospital is the closest ER to the Chicago Campus.

Once you are at the ER, a medical advocate will be called to provide support, you have the right to decline these services. Additionally, if someone arrives at the ER and reports sexual assault or domestic abuse, law enforcement will also be called, but speaking with them can be declined.
