Exchange Students
Exchange students with a J-1 visa who are actively registering in credit-bearing classes at Northwestern University are required to enroll in the NU-SHIP for the quarter(s) in which they are on campus. The Student Insurance Office receives rosters of exchange students directly from their program, and enrolls students accordingly. We strongly advise against students seeking and purchasing an alternate plan as exceptions to this policy will not be granted.
