2023-24 Dental & Vision Insurance Options
All students – regardless of whether or not they are enrolled in the Northwestern University Student Health Insurance Plan (NU-SHIP), may enroll in optional dental and/or vision coverage.
Students can choose from two dental plans, a DHMO and a PPO, and a vision PPO plan, offered through Delta Dental of Illinois.
Enroll in Dental or Vision Coverage
Two Open Enrollment Periods:
- Fall Open Enrollment: Aug. 1 – Oct. 1, 2023
- 12-month plans (Sept. 1, 2023 – Aug. 31, 2024) and 6-month plans (Sept. 1, 2023 – Feb. 29, 2024) available
- Spring Open Enrollment: Feb. 1 – March 31, 2024
- Only 6-month plans (March 1, 2024 – Aug. 31, 2024) available
