Sharing the Dream Conference Delegation

Multicultural Student Affairs and Student Enrichment Services are taking a delegation of students to the upcoming Sharing the Dream Conference. This is a one-day conference dedicated to working with and supporting undocumented students. 

This year, the conference will take place online on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 9am - 3pm. 

If selected for the conference, participants will be required to attend a post-conference session to debrief what we learned and what we can all do to make Northwestern a more welcoming campus for undocumented and DACA students. The post-conference debrief will be scheduled for the week of May 24th.  

Apply now to be a part of the delegation. Spots are limited. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 14th at 12noon.

Reclaiming our Now: MSA Excursions Series

This new pilot program from MSA engages students in building connections with communities in Chicago through neighborhood excursions. In partnership with local nonprofits and the Asian American Studies Program, students will analyze how community spaces can support a sense of shared cultural identity, learn the ways activism and organizing is used to honor a neighborhood's history and identity, and practice allyship in supporting local neighborhoods and communities. 

In spring of 2019, MSA's Excursions series visited Paseo Boricua, a neighborhood in Humboldt Park with a strong Puerto Rican community identity, and the Argyle district, a neighborhood in Uptown with large Chinese, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Thai immigrant populations.
