  • Where do you call home?
    • I call Chicago home and need to acknowledge that Chicago and the Northwestern campus sits on the traditional homelands of the people of the Council of Three Fires, the Ojibwe, Potawatomi, and Odawa.
  • What do you do at Northwestern?
    • I work to create opportunities for meaningful experiences that contribute a sense of belonging and affinity on campus for Native American students. I am committed to creating opportunities for students to consider their place in the world, how they support future generations, to think about the implications of their choices, and to ensure that they are active in creating solutions to the most pressing issues facing our communities today.
  • What groups/ committees/ communities are you a part of at NU?
    • I am the advisor for the Native American and Indigenous Student Alliance (NAISA). I am a member of Native American and Indigenous Peoples Steering Group.
  • What are you passionate about?
    • I am passionate about the intersection of arts and activism. I think the arts further the work of social justice by connecting with folks that might not otherwise engage in a conversation. Similarly, I think storytelling is a powerful tool that brings people together and creates opportunities for empathy and education.
  • What are some moments/ accomplishments/ projects that you have been proud of?
    • I am proud of the work I am doing to build community among Native and Non-Native students on campus, and to further Northwestern’s commitment to the inclusion and engagement of Native American and Indigenous students.
  • Where can you be found around campus?
    • I am often in my office inside the MCC.
  • What do you like to do in your spare time?
    • I like to write and tell stories, read books, play music, cook good food, spend time with my family, and attend the cinema.
