What do you do at Northwestern?

  • I am a graduate student in the English department as well as a graduate assistant for the Multicultural Center where I work primarily as a liaison for Native students.

What groups/ committees/ communities are you a part of at NU?

  • Center for Native American and Indigenous Studies (CNAIR) House; Trans Poetics, Affects, and Histories Workshop Committee; Indigenous Graduate Student Consortium (IGSC)
What are you passionate about?
  • I am passionate about learning new approaches to pedagogy and community care. This includes my work connecting folks to resources within MCC, Northwestern, and across Chicago.

What are some moments/ accomplishments/ projects that you have been proud of?

  • I am proud of my work connecting scholarship to community organizing in the larger Chicago area. This includes work ensuring that Native students and community members have space to connect outside of the university. I feel most fulfilled when I am able to work as a conduit across communities to help facilitate growing relationships.

Where can you be found around campus?

  • I can be found in the Multicultural Center, the CNAIR House, the library, and the English department in University Hall.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

  • In my spare time, I enjoy playing video games, writing poetry, and playing with my dog Atlas.
