Theoretical Orientation:

Ariele’s approach to therapy is strength-based, culturally relevant, and trauma-informed. She aims to support clients in self-exploration, relational and sexual health, value alignment, and thriving beyond past and present trauma. Ariele values agency, collaboration, and creative expression in her work supporting clients to identify strengths and fulfill their personal and professional goals.

Ariele is an integrative therapist. She is a trained EMDR clinician and draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities, such as mindfulness, CBT, and psychodynamic therapy, as she considers each client’s unique presentation and aims for treatment.

Professional Interests/Expertise Areas:

As a Black, Second Generation American, Ariele’s experience growing up in a multicultural, immigrant household continues to shape her clinical perspective. Her background in creative writing and social anthropology also informs her therapeutic style and her understanding of change processes.

Ariele’s clinical interests include trauma, stress, perfectionism, depression, anxiety, grief, relationships, sexuality, and multicultural and intersecting identities. Prior to joining Northwestern, Ariele held clinical and educator roles in community, school and hospital settings. She has also held leadership roles in facilitation, community engagement, and program development, in university, nonprofit, and private sector settings.
