Re: Northwestern Billing Info - Student Action Required
Dear Student,
Welcome to Northwestern University and best wishes for a great year! We at Student Finance want to make sure you are aware of a very important matter: your tuition and fees bill for the summer term.
In May an email will be sent to your official Northwestern email address notifying you that your bill is available for viewing online. We recommend that you act now, before you are billed, to set your billing preferences and authorize any additional payers for your account. Please note: you and your guest payer(s) have the option of making payments either online or by mail regardless of the billing delivery method you select.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Your CAESAR Login
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is now active on CAESAR, Northwestern’s secure gateway to online student services. View Multi-Factor Authentication options at Northwestern.
Guest Access for Parents/Others
Students may give permission to their guests (parents or other individuals) to view selected areas of their student record by adding them to the Guest Center of CAESAR. View instructions for authorizing guests on the Guest Access page.
Guest menu items available include
- Make Deposit (Tuition): confirms that a newly admitted student applicant intends to attend classes; this non-refundable credit applies toward the upcoming tuition charge, and is only used before receiving a monthly tuition bill
- View or Pay Tuition Bill: view the monthly tuition bill and make secure online payments
- View My Account: see daily account updates
- 1098-T: view or print the 1098-T statement
Tuition Billing Method
Northwestern’s bill delivery method is eBilling via QuikPAY®. Your bill for the summer term will be available online on May 10 in QuikPAY®, Northwestern’s eBill & ePay service. Access QuikPAY® via CAESAR. Go to CAESAR Homepage > Account and Payments tile > View My Account in the left navigation menu.
In QuikPAY®, students or guests can view or print their tuition bills and bill history, make secure electronic payments from bank accounts located in the U.S., and see a history of their ePayments. They will receive (by email) notification whenever a new bill generates and confirmation of each payment they make. Although tuition is billed each term, charges from other offices at the university (e.g., Cat Cash, parking & library fines) may be billed to the Student Account at any time. An invoice may generate as often as once a month if there is a balance other than zero on the account or if there has been any activity on the account since the prior billing cycle.
See About Your Bill for more details.
Sponsors
Some students may have a company or individual (Third Party) who will pay their tuition. If you are one of those students please see Third-Party Payments, on page 4 of our Financial Regulations, for full details about how we can facilitate this for you.
International Tuition Payments
Northwestern has partnered with Flywire to streamline tuition payments with international currency. Tuition can now be paid from any country, any bank and most foreign currencies, with excellent foreign exchange rates. The progress of a payment in the transfer process may be tracked via the Flywire dashboard. The payer is notified via email when the payment is received by Northwestern.
Navigate to Payment Methods > International Currency for more information.
