Tuition$23,125/quarter*
- All undergraduate students in degree programs must conform to the Undergraduate Registration Requirement (URR).
- Full-time registration for all undergraduate degree-seeking students is 3 to 5.5 units/quarter.
- Tuition is billed on the first invoice for each quarter.
*Registration outside of the full-time range will be charged at the following rates:
- Part-time (fewer than 3 units/quarter): $8,223/unit
- To be eligible for the part-time rate, a student must be enrolled in fewer than 3 units as of the last day for tuition adjustment for that term, see the Academic Calendar and review the Policy on Dropping a Course.
- Adjustments to tuition based on enrollment will be made after the last day to drop a class. See the Academic Calendar .
- Note: MOST financial aid programs require at least half-time enrollment; dropping below half-time may affect aid eligibility.
- To be eligible for the part-time rate, a student must be enrolled in fewer than 3 units as of the last day for tuition adjustment for that term, see the Academic Calendar and review the Policy on Dropping a Course.

Associated Student Government (ASG) Activity Fee$95/quarter

Athletic Events Fee$68/year
This fee allows undergraduate students to be admitted without charge to all of Northwestern’s home athletic events, including football and basketball games. For more student athletic information, please visit: https://nusports.com/sports/
Student Health Fee$287/quarter
The Student Health Fee is paid in the fall, winter, and spring quarters. This fee, and other funding sources, provides Northwestern students with equitable access to a variety of health services at the university including: Northwestern Medicine Student Health Service, Counseling & Psychological Services, TimelyCare services, and other on-campus health and wellness initiatives.
NU-SHIP Annual Premiumvaries by coverage period (see below)
All degree-seeking students are required to have health insurance coverage either through the Northwestern University Student Health Insurance Plan (NU-SHIP) or the student’s own health insurance carrier. The annual premium for NU-SHIP is $5,919 for coverage starting on September 1, 2025, and ending on August 31, 2026. However, your rates will vary if you choose to extend or curtail your NU-SHIP coverage. Students who take no action will default to NU-SHIP and be charged accordingly.
