Presentations and Outreach Requests
CAPS provides a variety of presentations and outreach programs. These may include presentations and programming to student groups, consultation with student groups, and other preventative services.
CAPS staff can provide presentations on a wide variety of topics that affect students. These include, but are not limited to: QPR Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Training, stress management/wellness/balance, peak performance training, healthy relationships, body image and healthy eating, diversity issues, identity development, imposture syndrome, dealing with families, working through transitions, developing effective communication skills, and assertiveness, and many more.
However, it is best if you give at least three weeks notice for a presentation and can assure that at least 10 participants will attend. Please note that most likely, we would not be able to accommodate request for outreach after week 7 of the quarter as this is the busiest time for us and we direct all of our attention to provide clinical services to students.
While CAPS will make an effort to meet requests, certain times of the year do not allow CAPS the time or resources to do outreach programs. If CAPS is unable to meet your need, we will suggest other resources to you.
To request a presentation or outreach program from CAPS, we ask that you complete the CAPS Request for Presentations and Outreach form below. A CAPS staff member will review it and be in contact with the requestor.
We would also encourage students to visit our Virtual Workshops & Gathering Spaces web page to learn about other educational programs offered by CAPS staff.
