ARTIST STATEMENT
I am continuously growing into my identity, and it has taken years to understand the in-between that comes with growing up interracial. Each identity is unique, and I can only speak to my experience. To some, I don't look Asian enough. To others, I don't look Asian at all. Writing allows me to connect with myself and my ancestors. These poems are part of a collection that I hope to put in print soon.
