Healing
Healing from traumatic or distressing experiences looks different for everyone, and all of the emotions, experiences, victories, and challenges you may experience during this process are valid. There is no "right" timeline for what healing should look like, and it is common to experience highs and lows or feel like you are going "backwards."
We’ve compiled a short list of exercises, techniques, and resources that may be helpful throughout your healing journey. While some of these resources are specifically for those impacted by sexual violence, relationship violence, or stalking, they may be helpful to anyone healing from a traumatic experience. While it is impossible to control all of the ways we respond to adversity, these resources are meant to support you as you build your own path to healing.
Some of these resources may work for you while others may not. Someone's personal history, experiences with trauma or adversity, identities, and support systems can all play a role in the ways that they seek justice and heal. This is an introduction to the many resources available to you; we encourage you to explore more options either individually or with guidance from us or others.
