MEET CSAW

The Center for Student Advocacy and Wellness is the combination of the offices formally known as Health Promotion and Wellness (HPaW) and the Center for Awareness, Response & Education (CARE).
Organizationally, CSAW is a part of the Dean of Students Office within the Division of Student Affairs.

Mission Statement

CSAW provides outreach and education around holistic wellness through a lens of prevention, harm reduction, and survivor-centeredness in order to cultivate communities of care on campus.

Our Values

Student-Centered

CSAW acknowledges that every student brings unique experiences that shape who they are. We dedicate time to understanding these individual journeys, meeting people at their current stage, and recognizing that everyone is on their own path of learning and growth.

Integrity

CSAW believes that true integrity is achieved through a balanced approach that respects diverse perspectives and fosters collaboration. By working together, we create an environment where honesty, transparency, and communication are paramount.

Advocacy

CSAW operates with a deep commitment to advocacy and social responsibility. Our dedication drives us to uphold the inherent worth and humanity of every student, promote understanding, and support the well-being of our community through continuous education and open dialogue.

Wellness

CSAW prioritizes wellness through health education, prevention, and harm reduction. We believe that wellness is a continuous journey, supported by both self- and community care. Our programs are designed to foster holistic well-being, ensuring that every individual has the resources and support needed to thrive.
