Solidari-tea: What is Home?
APIDA Solidari-Teas are a space for Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) students to come together and build community through reflection, story-telling, and discussions about the APIDA identity and experience. No prior knowledge is required to participate. This is a co-constructed space for students to learn about, from, and with each other.
For this session, we’ll be discussing the meaning of “home” – co-facilitated by fellow student Antonette Narvasa! “Home” can be synonymous with our countries of origin, the towns we grew up in, the cities we now reside in, even a special someone. But among those definitions, which resonates most strongly with you? Join us as we dissect and discuss the word ‘home’ and how its meaning continues to evolve.
