Gender-affirming care, Mental Health Treatment, ADHD Medication Refills

Northwestern Medicine Student Health Service-Evanston is excited to share that students are now able to get the full gamut of gender-affirming primary care at our clinic. This includes initial visits to discuss starting hormone therapy, refills and management of already-established hormone therapy, referrals for surgical and other services, and other resources to assist transgender and gender diverse people to live openly and authentically as their true selves.

Students are also able to get care for mental health and anxiety at the Student Health Service in Evanston. If you are already on a medication and just need a refill, we can help. If you have never been on anything for your mental health but are struggling and want to learn about your options, we can help with that too. Please make an appointment to discuss your options with a clinician at Student Health.

Student Health in Evanston will also begin refilling medications used to treat Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD). Student Health clinicians will not diagnose ADD/ADHD. If you have never been formally diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, please reach out to a psychiatrist or neuropsychologist for testing and diagnosis. CAPS Care Coordinators can help connect you to a provider in your insurance network. If you are already established on medication, please make an appointment with a clinician at Student Health. We will need you to bring records from your previous clinicians or records of your testing and diagnosis for ADHD. If you have questions about what records may be needed, please call the office or email Joey Harmon at johanna.harmon@nm.org.
