Laurisa Sastoque
Laurisa Sastoque (she/her) is a recent graduate of Northwestern University where she majored in History, Creative Writing, and minored in Data Science. Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, Laurisa moved to Evanston in 2019 to pursue her studies. During her time at Northwestern, she has participated in a plethora of student organizations including The Daily Northwestern, the Helicon Literary & Arts Magazine, and the Dale Duro Latin Dance Company. She participated in the Kaplan Humanities Program and the Brady Scholars Program in Ethics and Civic Life. She is passionate about combining her passions for storytelling and technology in creating digital narratives that advance the needs of her community. She began her work at Student Affairs Marketing in January 2023, and she has worked as a photo and video editor on numerous campus projects. In her recent role as a full-time summer intern, she is learning Cascade to aid in regular web updates from departments across the university. She is also working in advancing her Adobe Suite skills. Up next, she is headed to Cambridge University as a Gates Scholar to study an MPhil in Digital Humanities.
