Northwestern has several connections to Spain, including study abroad and exchange programs and approximately 300 alumni based in the country.


Northwestern offers its undergraduate and graduate students various academic opportunities in Spain, including study abroad and dual degree programs.

Department of Spanish and Portuguese

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese offers a Spanish Major, a Spanish Minor and a Portuguese Minor for undergraduates. In addition, it provides a PhD Program focusing on the diverse Latin American, Iberian, and U.S. Latino literary and cultural traditions.
