Career Resources
Make Northwestern Career Advancement (NCA) your first stop for your comprehensive career resources at Northwestern and support for all undocumented students – whether you are a graduate student or undergraduate student.
Visit the Career Resources for Undocumented Students webpage for an overview of Northwestern’s career resources. Our staff and resources provide support for you regardless of citizenship or immigration status. NCA’s site is brimming with resources, including a section for how to get experience, applying for an internship or a job, and information about graduate and professional school resources.

“When I first came to Northwestern, I wasn’t sure what career path I wanted to pursue, but Northwestern Career Advancement (NCA) has been instrumental in helping me find my direction. They’ve supported me with resume and interview prep, guided me in networking, and taught me how to connect with alumni on LinkedIn. Through NCA’s ’Cats Closet program, I’ve also received free professional attire, and participating in the Northwestern Externship Program (NEXT) gave me valuable shadowing experience with alumni in a field I was interested in.”
If you have any career-related questions or concerns, schedule an appointment with NCA staff in-person, through drop-in hours virtually, or over the phone. Use the Meet With Us page to connect with staff in NCA. You can also send an email to NCA by writing to nca@northwestern.edu. The NCA team knows that your questions can be nuanced, and they are here to help! Start with Jose Santos, a Undocu-Ally in Northwestern's Career Advancement office and a member of the Community of Support here at Northwestern.
