Academic Support and Learning Advancement

Success is not a solo endeavor.

Make an appointment

Make a consultation appointment with an ASLA staff member. We can help you think through academic challenges, find programs or services that meet your needs, and develop an action plan.

How does ASLA help?

Mistake-friendly environments.

"I really appreciated the environment of my study group, which allowed for anyone to ask a question about anything at any time."

— Aaron Klobnak '24

Supportive peer leaders.

"The tutors were so genuinely nice, and not condescending or arrogant about their severely-better-than-mine math skills!”

— Lilian Avril '22

Emphasis on growth.

"The study group definitely helped me stay focused on the course, and it helped me figure out my weak points and then ask questions to solidify my understanding."

— Courtlyn Brown '25

Find a learning opportunity that works for you

If you're a Northwestern student, you're a skilled learner — but that doesn't mean you never need help. The best learners are the ones who seek (and give) support when it's needed.
