Shine a Light on Climate Action During Earth Hour

LightbulbOn Saturday, March 19, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Northwestern will join millions of people across the globe in switching off lights as part of Earth Hour, the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment. By taking part in this global event, we acknowledge our commitment to fighting climate change.

Please join us in this effort by turning off lights and unplugging electronics before you leave campus for the weekend or for spring break. On March 19, you can participate in Earth Hour wherever you are by turning off lights during the event and using social media to shine a light on climate change.

We recognize that true energy conservation isn’t a one time, or one hour, event. To learn more about how you can get involved in reducing energy use, please visit the ENERGY STAR® website or get more energy saving tips from the Office of Sustainability.
